Before applying please ensure you meet the following criteria
The Tanzania visa has to be issued before you leave the UK. Failure to do so will result in you not being able to depart.
You should apply for the visa for Tanzania no more than 3 months in advance of your journey.
The Tanzanian visa is valid for 3 months.
You must have an original passport of which the validity must not exceed that of the visa by at least one month. Otherwise you will need to renew your passport.
You must have at least 6 months remaining on your passport from the date you intend to depart for Tanzania and return to the UK. Otherwise you will need to renew your UK passport.
You must have at least 1 page empty in your passport so the visa label can be stuck inside. Otherwise you will need to renew your UK passport.
Your ‘Travel Confirmation and Itinerary’ needs to be supplied. This can be obtained from the travel agent you have used to book your holiday to Tanzania.
If you are a UK resident but do not hold a UK passport, you will also need a utility bill that dates back at least 6 months, this is to prove that you have been resident in the UK for this period of time or more.
1. Download the Tanzania Visa application form here print it and complete it for each person that wishes to apply.
Important note for all Tanzania visa applications: You need to collect 2 Royal Mail special delivery guaranteed next day 9am service envelopes from your post office.
Address the first envelope to yourself where you want the new passport and visa to be delivered. Address the second envelope to Passport and Visa Service.
Fed up with the Royal Mail and don’t trust them? If you would prefer to use a courier we can recommend Mailboxes Etc . They will arrange delivery of your documents to us securely and in a specified time frame.
Include your completed application form, photographs, passport, payment if paying by cheque, any additional documents (as required in the criteria for applying) and the first self addressed envelope.
2. Obtain photographs. You will need 2 passport photos per person applying. Please attach these to the completed application.
3. Tanzania visa options and prices. There are 2 different types of visas you can apply for:

The above fees are fully inclusive of the visa and the courier service.
Tanzania visas are processed every Friday and delivered to the customer the following Thursday.
Note: These dates can change slightly if there are UK or Tanzanian holidays included or there are delivery issues beyond our control.
4. Payment.
i. Write a cheque out to Passport and Visa Services Ltd. and return it with your application form.
