India travel visas are processed daily and delivered to the customer within the time frame selected (working days only).
Note: These dates can change slightly if there are UK or Indian Bank holidays included or there are delivery issue beyond our control (which is very unusual).
1. Download the India Visa application form from our web site
Before you download the application form please read these very important updates:
1. At the beginning of the form you must make a record of the temporary application I.D.
2. When you come to the end of the form you must choose to print the form and do NOT choose to go for an interview.
Download the Indian Visa application form and complete it for each person that wishes to apply (BLACK INK ONLY PLEASE). Once you have completed the form sign it in two places and send your application plus supporting documents to the Passport and Visa Service office.
For the two referees in India required on the form please put the name of your hotel (if known) and the British Embassy, Delhi.
2. Obtain your passport size photographs
You will need 2 passport photos per person applying and they must be 2″ x 2″ whch is not the standard UK passport size we are all used to (Snappy Snaps and Jessops can provide this size). Your alternative – if you have the technology – is to use your own pc but you must use photographic paper then trim them down to the correct size.
Please attach these to the completed application.
3. Visa delivery details and requirements
You need to collect 2 Royal Mail special delivery guaranteed next day 9am service envelopes from your post office.
Address the first envelope to yourself where you want the new passport and visa to be delivered. Address the second envelope to Passport and Visa Service.
Don’t trust the Royal Mail any more? Alternatively if you would prefer to use a specialist courier we can recommend Mailboxes Etc who will arrange delivery of your documents to us in your specified time frame.
ENSURE YOUR APPLICATION INCLUDES ALL OF YOUR DOCUMENTS: Include your completed application form, photographs, passport, payment if using the printed form, any additional documents (as required in the criteria for applying) and the first self addressed envelope.

Important: Before applying please ensure that you meet the following criteria
The visa for India has to be issued before you leave the UK. Failure to do so will result in you not being able to depart.
You should apply for the travel visa no more than 3 months in advance of your journey
The tourist visa for India is valid for 6 months and is multiple entry
You must have at least 6 months remaining on your passport from the date you intend to depart and return to the UK. Otherwise you will need to renew your passport.
The India business visa is available for 6 months, 1 year and 2 years and is multiple entry. You must provide a letter of invitation from an Indian company plus a letter from your UK employer to apply for an Indian Business visa.
The India family visa is valid for 5 years and is multiple entry. The visa is only available to persons with an Indian background. You must provide proof of your Indian background to apply for an India family visa.
